1. GENERAL RULES

Tournament name: Druskininkai Cup

Match format: 9 vs 9 players (8 field players + goalkeeper).

Matches are played over half a standard football pitch.

The game is played without the offside rule.

Goal size: 5×2 or 7×2 metre goals are recommended.

A size 5 ball is used.

Unlimited substitutions are allowed (substitutions are made without stopping the game without the referee’s permission).

The team is responsible for the correct age of the players.

The tournament organisers are not responsible for the physical condition, health problems or injuries suffered by team players during the tournament matches.

2. MATCH DURATION

Match duration: 1 quarter of 25 minutes.

3. TOURNAMENT SYSTEM

Teams are divided into groups.

The strongest teams from the groups qualify for the play-offs.

The play-offs are played in pairs A1 – B4, A2 – B3, A3 – B2, A4 – B1.

The quarter-finals are followed by the semi-finals, the final and the match for 3rd place.

4. SCORING AND RANKING

A win – 3 points, a draw – 1 point, a loss – 0 points.

In the event of a tie, the tie shall be decided:

1) the result of the match,

2) the goal ratio,

3) more goals scored,

4) fewer yellow/red cards,

5) draws or a series of 9m penalties.

5. DISCIPLINARY REGULATIONS

A red card or two yellow cards will result in a player being sent off for the rest of the match.

For unsportsmanlike conduct, a team or player may be ejected from the tournament

6. CLOTHING AND SAFETY

The team must wear the same competition outfit (if the teams’ shirt colours are similar, one team wears the distinctive vests).

Players are responsible for their own health. Personal insurance is recommended.

7. AWARDS

Prizes will be awarded to the teams that finish 1-3, 15 players per team.

Best player (MVP), best goalkeeper, best defender, best striker..

8. ORGANISER

The tournament is organised by the Druskininkai Cup Organising Committee.

The organisers reserve the right to adjust the tournament schedule and regulations as necessary.
